Published on June 11, 2024
Many students don’t pursue engineering due to financial pressure. But there are multiple government scholarships available to support deserving candidates: TFWS (Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme) – For students with family income < ₹8 lakh/year. No tuition fees in government and aided colleges. EBC (Economically Backward Class) – For open category students from low-income families. Offers partial tuition fee waivers. SC/ST/OBC Scholarships – Reserved category students get 100% fee waivers in many colleges. Hostel and book allowances are also given. AICTE Saksham & Pragati – Saksham is for students with disabilities; Pragati is for girl students pursuing technical education. MahaDBT Portal Scholarships – All Maharashtra-based students must register here for various post-matric scholarships. National Means-cum-Merit (NMMSS) – Helps meritorious students from class 9 onwards continue studies. Always check eligibility, apply on time, and upload correct documents.
